Sundays & through the week
Neither overly formal nor happy-clappy — just a warm, thoughtful hour together, plus gatherings running all through the month.

What to expect
Our Sunday services are led by our own minister, other local ministers and trained lay preachers. Well-behaved, friendly dogs on leads are welcome too — so you needn't leave them at home!
About an hour
Traditional hymns and modern worship songs, prayers including the Lord's Prayer, bible readings and a short talk or sermon.
Biblically based, in our own words
We are a free church — similar in many ways to Methodists and Baptists — so we choose our own words and write our own prayers and reflections.
Sometimes visual too
We occasionally use video clips or visual displays to aid our thoughts.
Holy Communion, monthly
We celebrate Holy Communion once a month, and all who wish to partake are welcome to do so.
Celebrations through the year
Special celebratory services at Easter, Pentecost, Harvest and Christmas — with music to match the season.
Hymns old and new, every week
Regular gatherings
Something for most days and most people — all free, all welcoming, no sign-up needed unless stated.
Bible Babble
An informal discussion group looking at bible themes and stories. No biblical knowledge is needed — just a willingness to come and share your experience, thoughts or questions about God, the bible and our shared Christian faith.
Open Space
The church is open every Tuesday. Whether you've been here before or not, do drop in for tea, coffee and a natter. Some people like to do a jigsaw, read the paper, or bring their knitting. All refreshments, including a simple lunch, are free. If you are passing, do come in — you will receive a very warm welcome here.
Speaking English
An English/Spanish speaking group for anyone who would like to spend time worshipping and learning about God with others, while improving their English.
Singing for the Brain
A friendly singing group for anyone with memory loss or Special Educational Needs. A time to remember, sing (even if you can't), laugh and chat with others over a cuppa and a biscuit or two.
Sunday Teas
A social evening with plenty of drinks, lots of cakes and a few savouries — a chance to chat with those you know or make new friends. Everything is provided for free, but any money given is added to the donations for our local charity of the year. Please see the calendar for dates.
Leaders Lunch
Lunch and chat for ministers and leaders of all local churches and denominations — a chance to share our stories, support one another and reflect on how we can serve God and our local communities better. Please see the calendar for dates.
Just turn up — you'll be welcomed.
New faces are the best part of every gathering. If you'd like to check anything first, or need dates for Sunday teas and Leaders Lunches, just ask.
