Love, put to work
As part of our answer to Jesus' command to love one another, we support a number of different charities — near and far.

Who we support
Alongside our national commitments, we choose a small local charity to support each year.
Christian Aid
Standing with our global neighbours — including fundraising nights like Jazz in the Nave.
Commitment for Life
The URC's programme standing alongside partner churches around the world for justice and peace.
This year we are collecting for the work of local Street Pastors.
Charities we have supported in past years include Tonic Music, who support local would-be musicians, and the Meerkat Children's service at the Rowans Hospice in Purbrook.
Small boxes, enormous impact
For several years now, we have been the area processing centre for the Teams4U charity — collecting, checking and packing Christmas shoeboxes which go to families and children in Eastern Europe.
These little gifts make an enormous impact on children who sometimes have never received any kind of gift at all. We collect and make things for the boxes all year round.
boxes sent last year to Romania and Ukraine.
Anyone is welcome to come in and help during processing week — or just to see what we are doing.
Give, pack, or pour the tea.
Whether you want to donate to this year's charity, help pack shoeboxes, or simply find out more — we'd love to hear from you.
